Agenda Item: Manager’s Report

-The Town Manager noted that work has officially begun on the State Archives project.

-The Manager noted the next bulk trash collection will be Saturday, March 7.

-The Manager recently attended a tour of the Montgomery County recycling facility with other area municipal managers. The biggest takeaway was the importance of educating residents on what is and is not recyclable. The Section’s next Quarterly newspaper will include a write-up of the tour and photos of the facility.

-The sidewalk project has been finalized with the suggested legal requirements from Ron Bolt and will be circulated for bids.

-As noted in a recent email to residents, the Section continues to receive reports about thefts from unlocked cars. As a result, we will increase police patrols for overnight hours and also continue to encourage residents to lock cars.

Chairman Chernack adjourned the meeting. The next meeting will be held March 10, 2020, at 7:30 PM at the Village Hall, 5906 Connecticut Avenue. The Village Hall has handicapped access. Everyone is welcome.
