-The Town Manager noted that the Section will plant 34 new trees this December as part of the Section’s Free Tree program. Dr. Feather is currently working with residents to choose the location and specimen of tree. The trees will be planted in both public town spaces and private gardens.

-The Town Manager recently attended a meeting with Montgomery County officials regarding Section 5’s interest in participating in a proposed pilot project that would introduce dockless bikes and e-scooters to the Chevy Chase area. These types of transportation are currently only available in Takoma Park and Silver Spring. There was a discussion regarding the logistics and requirements for dockless bikes and scooters. The Section decided not to participate in the initial phase of the project, but the Council will reassess the decision in the spring.
