Noise Ordinance

Construction noise shall be limited in accordance with Montgomery County Noise Control Ordinance:

“CHAPTER 31 B – MONTGOMERY COUNTY CODE – NOISE CONTROL

31-6. Noise Level and Noise Disturbance Standards for Construction. (a) Maximum allowable noise levels for construction.

(1) A person must not cause or permit noise levels from construction activity that exceed the following levels:

(A) From 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. weekdays: (i) 75 dBA.”

Limits shall apply on weekends and holidays from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Failure to adhere to these limits can lead to the issuance of a stop work order.
