Leaf collection
Mark Peyton, our leaf collector, will soon be around our streets vacuuming leaves again this year on Mondays. Leaf collection will begin on Monday, Oct. 17th and end Monday, Dec. 5th. If there is a substantial amount of leaves still on the ground after Dec. 5th, there will be one final collection Dec. 12th. There are several things that residents need to remember:
- If it rains on our regular vacuuming day, Mark will not be able to collect that day.
- If there is a very heavy rainstorm, it will take at least two days for the wet leaves to dry sufficiently for vacuuming. Wet leaves clog the vacuuming machine.
ALERT: Williams Ln. residents must NOT park their cars on the street on Mondays because Mark cannot drive the leaf machine down Williams Ln. if there are cars on the street since Williams Ln. is so very narrow.
